Welcome to the Independence School District

    isd_logo_600by190
The Independence School District is a leader in its progressive and innovative approaches to education, staff support, and the health and welfare of those who work and live in the district. Those approaches have paid off yet again, with the district receiving "Distinction in Performance" accreditation from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for 2006, 2007, and 2008. ISD offers quality educational experiences and family services to approximately 14,000 students. Working for the Independence School District means joining a team you can be proud of: a team focused on the future and raising the bar for the entire Kansas City metropolitan area.
